Orders and results can be challenging to manage when they are sent from systems outside of Epic. Initiating new radiology orders for patients that are not established in Epic is especially tricky, but there is a way to solve it when you apply some OnBase workflow and integration with existing interfaces. Similarly, your health system does not need to worry that physicians have missed a new result, just apply OnBase workflow and Epic in-Basket to ensure clinicians are informed for immediate care decisions.
